Ajan Khanna - Founder
Ajan Khanna is the Australian engineer and product creator behind the JINX Luminous Jellyfish lamp – a product born from a love of design, electronics and playful innovation.
With a Bachelor of Engineering in Telecommunications, he gained early career experience integrating enterprise systems for major Australian organisations including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Westpac, Optus and National Australia Bank.
The JINX Luminous Jellyfish Lamp
The JINX Luminous Jellyfish lamp was launched in 2015 and has achieved over 200,000 total sales (and growing) through both wholesale and retail channels. The range of JINX Luminous Jellyfish products have grown and expanded through more than 300 retailers across Australia, the United States and the United Kingdom, including Harvey Norman, Toyworld, Australia Post, Amazon US and Amazon UK.
Designed entirely by Ajan, the product is created based upon the highest standards of design and manufacturing. Every unit undergoes 10-day leak testing before shipping, runs a whisper-quiet pump engineered for continuous 24/7 operation, and carries a two-year warranty. That quality has opened unexpected markets: dental clinics use the lamps to calm patients, aged care and autism support facilities use them as sensory tools, and homes and offices use them to create calming, atmospheric spaces.

Groovy Gadgets
In 2002, Ajan founded Groovy Gadgets with the goal of designing and bringing original electronic products to market. His hands-on approach spans the full journey from concept through to manufacture, testing, distribution and customer support.
Groovy Gadgets (www.groovygadgets.com.au) has become the central point of management for all brands and products sold and developed by Ajan’s businesses. This includes the JINX Luminous Jellyfish lamp as well as an extended range of JINX Mood Lamps and accessories.
